The latest from north of the border now sees none of the five Newcastle loan players being available for Rangers.

With Remie Streete having played a handful of minutes before getting injured, Haris Vuckic has been the only United player to have featured properly for his loan club.

The Slovenian international has arguably been Rangers’ best player since his arrival and has scored three goals in seven matches, inlcuding a cool finish on Saturday against bottom club Livingston.

However, Vuckic also picked up an injury in that draw at the weekend and is out for an unspecified time, beginning with missing tonight’s match against Alloa.

Not the best news for the player or his temporary club, especially with no sign of the other four Newcastle loan players making an appearance any time soon.

However, Shane Ferguson has had a shock call-up to the Northern Ireland squad for their upcoming friendly with Scotland, something which left new Rangers manager Stuart McCall ‘stunned’.

The Rangers boss never even having met Ferguson as yet and under the impression he was still long-term injured, read more about that HERE.

The whole situation is laughable, were it not a complete footballing insult to both sets of fans. Ashley out.

Yes, these loans have been a massive success, haven’t they?  Honestly, you couldn’t make this stuff up.  Newcastle somehow make life stranger than fiction.
Still, it’s probably costing Rangers nothing anyway.

why can’t we have five rangers players who can’t get into their first team? five rabid jocks across the middle – perfect.

Is that’s why he has scored twice all ready.

  • Paul Mann

He’s injured now though. Was the best player.
