At today’s press conference ahead of Arsenal, John Carver has confirmed that neither Rolando Aarons or Massadio Haidara will be available to return.

With apparently the only positive news that Siem de Jong began light training today and will be back sometime in the future.

The Newcastle Head Coach says that he has only 15 senior players available;

“I only have 13 fit senior players, plus two goalkeepers, for Saturday’s game.”

This is presumably:

Krul, Janmaat, Williamson, Ryan Taylor, Sissoko, Colback, Ameobi, Obertan, Riviere, Gouffran, Elliot, Jonas, Perez, Cabella and Anita.

The above are the senior players that were available at Everton, minus Colocconi.

Youngsters Lubomir Satka and Adam Armstrong made up the 18 that were named at Goodison Park.

    The dilema about who to select should be easier when there is only three not playing. Leave out Obertan, Gouffran and one of Anita/Rivi/Guti/Ryan; job done.

    I’d rather give Armstrong & Satka a chance than what Carver is likely to put out…

    Play with all 15 and see if we can keep the score down to single figures!

    As long as we have Ameobertan and Gouffranita in the line up we’re going nowhere. Not looking forward to the game and expect a hiding from Wengers lot unless he takes pity on us and sends out his reserves

    What a complete bunch of retards we have running this club.  Maybe if we hadn’t loaned/sold off all our reserve players in order to cash in on mid-table safety or help the Rangers take-over we could still have some options.  Perhaps if Pardew hadn’t completely overlooked certain defenders progression such as MYM and Santon then we would still be able to field a senior back four of ACTUAL defenders.  But then again, maybe if we had an owner who gave a sh!t about the club and being compeittive rather than obsessed with profit margins that apparently have no baring on debt levels we wouldn’t even need to be having this conversation.

    Never mind, I guess all those fans crying out for reinforcements in January and a proper coach to be appointed are just delusional ungrateful Geordie pillocks right?!?!
