Manchester United fans are never happy

You just can’t please Manchester United fans can you?

They moan when they go five minutes without winning the league and now they’re not even happy being top of this particular table.

John Carver said yesterday that it was ‘difficult’ for Man Utd fans watching the current team.

His reasoning being that Fergie’s attacking style had been replaced with Louis Van Gaal’s possession style game.

On Saturday vs Sunderland, many Mancs were booing as the ball was regularly passed back to De Gea and with Manchester United fans seeing their team top this table maybe they have got a bit of a point.

Of the top five teams in the proper Premier League table, Southampton are also in this back pass top five, maybe no coincidence that they are the other club with a Dutch manager who sees success is best built on keeping the ball and regularly using the keeper to retain it.

However, Everton, Sunderland and Newcastle are also in this ‘Back Pass’ top five – boring possession (passing backwards) football without the success – great!
