Luigi Sepe dreams of move to Newcastle United or Manchester United

Napoli goalkeeper Luigi Sepe recently signed a new contract with Napoli that takes him up to 2019 but is now thinking about a move elsewhere.

The promising 23 year old has had next to no opportunities for Napoli and been out on a series of loans.

Sepe says that he is waiting to see how things play out at Napoli, especially with manager Rafa Benitez looking certain to leave, when he returns there in the summer but says his dream is to play for Newcastle United or Manchester United.

That dream he says was inspired by seeing the film Goal!

The latest loan for the young keeper is currently a season long loan at Empoli and he has played a massive part in making them almost safe from relegation already.

Luigi Sepe has played in 24 of their 28 Serie A matches and thanks to him only four clubs have conceded less goals than Empoli, despite the fact they are 13th in the table.

Ironically, fifth placed Napoli have leaked 6 goals more than the 30 that Empoli have conceded in 28 matches so far.

Luigi Sepe talking to Tuttosport:

“It is too early to talk about my future. We don’t know who will be (Napoli) coach at the end of this season or if the team will be in the Champions League.

“It’s true I renewed my contract with Napoli, but it all depends on the conditions. If I have to go there and be third choice, then they can forget it.”

Goal!:

“My dream is the Premier League, I’ve had that dream since I saw the movie Goal.

“I really love England, Newcastle United and Manchester United.”
