Each season we are used to the amusing sight of Arsenal fans demonstrating against Arsene Wenger’s management of their club.
By the end of the season they have watched another year of mostly brilliant football, their team regularly winning, a top four finish and more Champions League football to look forward to.
This season has been no different.
The Arsenal fans were up in arms earlier in the campaign because they got consecutive draws, or something similar.
However, just look at the incredible run of results they’ve had.
My article yesterday showed that they have picked up 34 points in the last 42 whilst Newcastle have managed 12, despite the disappointment of the Champions League exit the Gunners are in incredible form domestically.
This is what Arsenal fans have had to put up with in the last dozen domestic league and cup matches, an amazing 11 wins out of 12 and the only defeat in their derby game at Spurs.
Arsene Wenger’s players have not failed to score less than two or more in this run, apart from that Tottenham match.
Newcastle really couldn’t have picked worse opponents this Saturday, Arsenal are only one point off second top and are one fo four teams fighting it out for three Champions League places.
Whilst in the black and white corner….
