Welcome to our freshly launched new Newcastle United website..

Here at The Mag, we wanted to bring Newcastle United fans not just the very best content you will find on the internet, but also a site that looks and behaves in the very best way possible.

We believe that the new design you see before you, ticks all the boxes.

The new layout not only looks more attractive but is slicker, quicker and guides readers to what they want to read.

One of the great features of the new design is that it is ‘responsive’. Simply put, this means the content automatically adjusts to the screen size of whatever device you are using, so whether accessing the site on your phone or tablet, or on desktop or laptop, the responsive design will allow you to read and navigate the website in the best way possible

We’ve realised simple is best, that’s with the design by the way, and no reference to anybody out there!

Everything from the menu at the top, to the infinite scrolling of the pages, to the individual articles leading you on to other options, it is designed with you in mind.

The more you enjoy visiting the website, the happier we are.

As well as the content you have enjoyed in the past, we are also introducing numerous new features and we will be explaining them in the coming days, such as; Daily Debate, Tyne Talk, Transfer Rumours, NUFC Team Selector, Season Stats, Match Predictions in the sidebar etc etc

The editorial viewpoint of The Mag is Tyne Talk and we have a number of Mag staff writers, plus regular contributors who all have differing views on our Club but The Mag is a platform for all – send in your articles for our website to [email protected]

We love Newcastle United and so do our readers, so by putting the knowledge we’ve gained over the years alongside your  feedback, and the clever people at BigSpring, our web developers, we believe our new website will keep you informed and entertained seven days a week.

Here at The Mag we are totally committed to both the content and the design constantly evolving, to give you the best independent Newcastle United site possible.

The new design is a major leap in that direction, we hope you enjoy it.

    Great website well done ladsU0001f44d

  • Pulse33

Would like a section for recently published articles at the end of the article like there used to be. Other than that it looks good.

  • GeddyLee

Looks great – best wishes with it!

One observation – the dark grey font in the body of the text of the articles doesn’t show up too well on my phone. Maybe you could stay with black font.  That aside, it’s a much improved website. Well done to all involved. Also, a word in the despatches about livefyre – it’s a great improvement on the commenting software you used earlier.

  • A lex

Excellent look and feel – great IT development, lads.
Would echo NC’s points about the grey font when typing a post, and also the praise for livefyre.

  • DownUnderMag

Very impressed with the new layout – great magazine feel to it now.  Keep up the good work.

  • Demented_Man

Much better than the old site, which was pretty good in its own right.

  • newcastle7

New website. Same old shite written.

  • juliotaylor

Nicolaus Copernicus thanks for the feedback – we’ll keep this in mind and try a darker font in the next update.

  • juliotaylor

vbhgft it’s good that you still take the time to visit, read posts, sign up, and leave comments. that’s dedication right there!

Splendid, Julio. Also, to the comment A lex made regarding typing posts, the light grey in livefyre is fine on a laptop but distinctly faint on a phone. Not sure if you can do anything about that other than a word in the ear to the livefyre folk, but I’ll echo the point all the same. Many thanks.

  • juliotaylor

Nicolaus Copernicus yeah, i see what you mean. the font is tiny and cramped. I doubt we can do much about it with LF but we can send some feedback.

What phone are you using that’s causing you the issue? So we can test the other font issue.

  • Nicolaus Copernicus

I have a Nokia Lumia 365 windows phone.
