Predicted Newcastle team v Stoke
Who do you think will be in the Newcastle team v Stoke this afternoon?
What your choice will be compared to the reality of John Carver’s selection could be two very different things.
There seems to have been a bit of an expectation this week that Carver will be changing his line-up but I’m not so sure.
Many fans have been optimistic that both Mehdi Abeid and Papiss Cisse would be selected at the expense of Vurnon Anita and possibly Sammy Ameobi, with Paul Dummett back in for Williamson.
However, I think John Carver is very sensitive to potential criticism so I can very likely see him going with the angle of why change a winning team?
Plus he’ll probably be wary of Stoke selecting Crouch and use that as justification of keeping Williamson in.
So I predict the line-up below, though I have to say this is (what I think) John Carver’s and not mine! I think now is the time to go on the offensive instead of sitting back and hoping for a mistake from the opposition as happened at Hull and which set us on our way, the first goal is crucial and it could easily have gone the other way before Remy Cabella’s strike.
To create the image below I used our new feature, the NUFC team selector.
You can do the same by following the simple instructions HERE and then there are a number of great options where you can then also share your team via Twitter (include @nufcthemag in your tweet and we will share some of them with our 13k+ followers) , or you can share the selector on Facebook with friends, family and the rest of the black and white world.
When using the NUFC team selector you simply click on what team formation (4-3-3, 4-4-2 etc) you want, then click each position on the pitch and choose from the Newcastle United squad.
It is really that simple even I can do it! Or you have the option of simply downloading the team image to the device you are using.
Go to the NUFC team selector now and choose and share your team selection v Stoke.
Before every match, simply go to the menu at the top of this screen and click features, then on the drop down list click NUFC Team Selector and choose your team for every match.
