Newcastle approach was child’s play says Christophe Galtier
In an interview with BeIN SPORTS, the St.Etienne manager Christophe Galtier has talked about the rumours that he’d been approached by Newcastle to replace Alan Pardew .
His quotes casting further doubt that there was actually any serious intent by Mike Ashley to replace Pardew with a credible manager/head coach.
Galtier treating the notion as a bit of a joke when asked about it;
“I have not had any discussion or any approach from Newcastle.
“I read this when I was on vacation. My kids sent me a text in English for a laugh and I didn’t understand. The text said ‘Read the papers!'”
“I have had no contact with Newcastle and I am not out of contract, my only goal is to succeed in St.Etienne . The rumours of my departure to Marseille? More fantasies peddled by some. I’m not going to OM (Marseille) . Period! “
