The new Mag website explained
We hope you are enjoying the all new Mag website, the new design dedicated to giving everybody the best Newcastle United content.
With so much different content going up on the site every day, we want to help and guide you in where to find what you want.
Match Previews/Reports -Some things are simple to explain, such as Match Previews and Match Reports, these appear before and after every match and you can also look at the archived ones over the season and down the years, by clicking on ‘Season’ at the top right of this page.
Season – Under ‘Season’ you will also find this season’s fixtures and the Premier League table, as well as the Premier League recent form table, plus amongst the stats we have all the NUFC results and who has scored all of Newcastle’s goals.
Features – While by clicking features at the top of the screen you will have access to our new NUFC Team Selector, which allows you to pick your team for the next match and download the image, as well as sharing it on social media with friends, family and the rest of the black & white world. This is also where you will find transfer rumours and every single one of the 289 covers of our printed magazine covering 26 years from 1988-2014.
News – We have a number of staff writers such as Jackie Smithfield, Graham Porter and Jim Robertson who will bring you all the latest Newcastle United stories as they happen.
Opinion – The staff writers will also do opinion pieces but these are their own thoughts and not part of any editorial policy.
Instead. the editorial line of the website will be presented by myself Editor Mark Jensen under the Tyne Talk column, this will be a daily offering (starting Tues 10 February) through the week – every day Monday-Friday at 1pm, with occasional additional pieces where needed.
The most important part of the website also comes under ‘Opinion’ and that is provided by you.
We welcome both regular and occasional contributors who all have differing views on our Club – The Mag is a platform for all – simply send them to [email protected], at the end of most articles you can click ‘Read more posts’ by that writer, a back catalogue of all their previous articles.
You can also use that email address to request any information or make suggestions as to how we can improve the website, if you have any questions then please fire those over as well.
Shop – Don’t forget as well to visit our online Mag shop which you can access via the menu at the top of your screen, all the very best NUFC related products including cards, books, posters, gifts and memorabilia. Which includes currently a cracking range of inspired Valentine’s cards and gifts.
The new layout not only looks more attractive but is slicker, quicker and guides readers to what they want to read.
One of the great features of the new design is that it is ‘responsive’. Simply put, this means the content automatically adjusts to the screen size of whatever device you are using, so whether accessing the site on your phone or tablet, or on desktop or laptop, the responsive design will allow you to read and navigate the website in the best way possible.
