John Carver has claimed that he has a game plan for Saturday that doesn’t involve parking the bus.

Newcastle came away with what was in many ways a deserved victory in the League Cup earlier this season but the bus was parked for long periods as City racked up a massive 70% of possession.

Following on from Lee Charnley slagging off the away fans who criticised John Carver at Crystal Palace and insisted that they should be getting behind the Head Coach, Carver himself has bought into the feel good factor by claiming that his players have come back from their FA Cup ‘break’ with ‘incredible enthusiasm’.

John Carver:

“We will go there with confidence and won’t park the bus. We have a game plan.

“We went to Man City in the League Cup and won 2-0 and thoroughly deserved the win.”

Element of surprise;

“We’re playing against a good Man City side but we’re not going to be fearful because we’ve proved we can do it there.

“Man City have still got a (Title) chance and they will be looking for 3 points from this but I would like to surprise them.”

Players now have ‘incredible enthusiasm’;

“It has been a good week. We gave the lads time off to recharge their batteries and they’ve come back with incredible enthusiasm.”

    We know your plan-1 up front 5 in mid & the last 4 def at the back-result we will get humped 3-0 to 5-0 Bony & Aguero to score-fill your boots.

    Pardew’s late purple patch was fueled by team siege mentality – you could see them playing for each other – so keep up these toxic comments lads, it works wonders, Carver pins them up the the changing room!
    realisticaly city are a class act, on their day they will slaughter anybody

  • Sickandtiredstill

    supermacsnewname Sure did. Conveniently forgetting all the games he lost before then

    Man CIty aren’t world beaters and have looked distinctly ordinary at times however they seem to have enough to brush past teams like us no matter how poorly they play. I predict we will play well in patches take the game to them at times but still lose by 3 or 4. Against the better teams we haven’t got 90 mins of solid defending in us, I would take a 2-0 defeat now.

    Why doesn’t he just keep his idiotic mouth shut he’s worse than pardew and that’s saying something. We have a plan??? Well that will be a first since he took over.
