Thanks to everybody who helped us come up with our fans choice of the Newcastle team v Man City.

Using our interactive feature,  NUFC team selector, we asked you to choose your preferred formation and starting eleven.

You can still do the same by following the simple instructions HERE and then there are a number of great options where you can then also share your team via Twitter (include @nufcthemag in your tweet and we will share some of them with our 13k+ followers) , or you can share the selector on Facebook with friends, family and the rest of the black and white world.

However, the fans choice overall so far for formation and team to play later this afternoon is pictured below.

Supporters going for a 4-2-3-1 formation with the line-up as shown, the most popular alternatives were based on using formations that only had three at the back, seemingly with the sole intention of not then having to select Mike Williamson….

  • dude1979

NUFCTheMag lol @ obertan and Williamson being in a premier league team. Embarrassing

  • No Brainer

    Yep looks good to me

  • stutaylor99

dude1979 NUFCTheMag who else is there? Obertan began to looks like a decent player before his injury

  • dude1979

stutaylor99 NUFCTheMag maybe m mouse or d duck? The point is they shouldn’t be in any premier league squad never mind 1st team

  • stutaylor99

dude1979 NUFCTheMag that’s been the issue for couple of years depth of squad sell mbiwa Taylor gets injured then sell santon and streete

  • RMcIntosh1983

dude1979 NUFCTheMag Obertan of 2014-15 is pretty effective. MotM at the Etihad in October. Agree about Williamson though.

  • dude1979

stutaylor99 NUFCTheMag if haidara gets injured we are screwed now too with dummet out. As u say squad depth worrying. Overhaul needed!

  • dude1979

RMcIntosh1983 NUFCTheMag a couple of half decent (at best) games in a poorly performing team doesn’t overwrite years of being shite

  • RMcIntosh1983

dude1979 NUFCTheMag Perhaps. But we’re not exactly spoiled for choice, he’s available and at least he has pace which can be useful.

  • Premiertalk2015

NUFCTheMag that team cost 4 million more than we got for Carroll

  • supermacsnewname

fair enough, I’ve seen dozens of worse teams in my time
so who is left on the bench, how about 3 youngsters who we can bring on for the last 30 minutes, at least that would give us some useful experience

  • TradgeJ

Obertan actually looked good at the beginning of this season before getting injured, but Williamson definitely shouldn’t be in the PL, he shouldn’t even be in the football league! I’d throw Gouffran in there too

  • TradgeJ

Of the available players this is literally the best team, unless we have three at the back with Willo on the bench.

  • AndyMac1

Aarons for Squiddy and a bloke walking past the Etihad at 4.30 for Willo and we’re larfing :-)
