Three players have been confirmed as available for Hull v Newcastle this Saturday.
The lunchtime match will see Mehdi Abeid and Davide Santon available for selection after being on the bench against Southampton.
While in addition John Carver has revealed that Gabriel Obertan is now also ready to join the matchday squad, although that surely will only mean a space on the bench at best as he comes back from a long absence.
John Carver at his pre-Hull press conference today;
“Gabriel Obertan will be involved this weekend, as will Mehdi Abedi and Davide Santon.”
In addition, Siem De Jong is progressing and got 45 minutes in a friendly against Hull earlier this week, but Carver admits Hull ‘may come too soon’.
“Siem (De Jong)is looking even stronger but this game may come too soon. He has given the group a massive boost because of his presence.”
John Carver also had time to get his prayer mat out as he hopes for a repeat of last season, though hopefully without the headbutts…
“Last season at Hull was one of our best performances and a similar performance and result will see a smile back on my face.”
