Sammy Ameobi is one of two changes in the Newcastle team v Hull.

The winger replaces Yoan Gouffran, with Mike Williamson coming in for the injured Paul Dummett.

John Carver picking the following eleven to take on Mrs Doubtfire’s boys;

Krul, Janmaat, Coloccini, Williamson, Haidara, Colback, Anita, Sissoko, Cabella, Ameobi, Perez

While on the bench are;

Alnwick, Santon, Abeid, Riviere, Cisse, Gouffran, Obertan

Choosing Mehdi Abeid would have given John Carver a bit more wriggle room with the United fans but sticking with Anita is the choice, the Dutchman having one of his better games here last season.

At least a bit more choice form the bench with Cisse, Santon and Abeid all looking strong/likely candidates to appear at some time this afternoon.

    Surprisingly decent bench apart from the lack of depth in defence.

    Don’t  like the line up I think it’s to negative  Abied  should be in for Anita, Riviere  should be playing up front with Perez, time will tell  if it is negative or it was  a  genius set up by our esteemed coach. anyway good luck to the lads lets hope for 3 points we need them.

    After being ridiculed by so called expert pundits, slated in the press lets forget about the Ashley saga and smash these 3-0. HAWAY LADS!!! COME ON!! We are always behind you!! NUFC till I die!!!

  • amacdee

    I agree with Hetton unless Abeid is still recovering he should be a nailed on starter in all games this season. Even 2-0 up we could have done with his assertive authority behind what is a very flaky centre back pairing

    GET IN!!!! We’ll done lads and supporters!! YES!!!! Just ower the moon.

    Must say I was against Anita  playing  but I have to be honest  he had probably his best game in  an NUFC shirt today,  Haidara   also  had his best game for us today. I  must also say that if I had been head coach  I would have hooked  Ameobi  off at half time  he kept giving the ball away, but fair dues to the lad he scores a wonder goal.
