Caizzo said that it is an insult to even suggest that Galtier would consider leaving to go to a ‘club like Newcastle United’.

christophe galtierSpeaking to Eurosport the Saint Etienne President described the prospect of Chrisophe Galtier leaving mid-season as being ‘leaving like a thief’, something which he says has no chance of happening.

Adding that his manager isn’t somebody driven by money and who after six years at the club is committed and challenging for the top three this season.

Saint Etienne are currently in fourth place, two points behind PSG who are third and only five points off Marseille who are top.

Bernard Caiazzo;

“Do you really think Galtier, in the middle of a season where he’s aiming for a top three place, would leave like a thief for a club like Newcastle United?

“It would be an insult to even suggest that Christophe Galtier is even slightly interested in such a rumour.

“Christophe is not a man of money. He has been here for years and is fully engaged in the project.”
