Newcastle United youth determined to restore derby pride
After four defeats in a row for the first team, the Newcastle United youth are determined to restore derby pride against their red and white rivals.
Last season the two clubs met in the FA Youth Cup with United trouncing the mackems 4-0 at St.James’ Park.
However, this time they have been drawn away at Sunderland in the last 16 of the FA Youth cup.
United overcame Middlesbrough 3-2 at the Riverside last Thursday, while Sunderland defeated Ipswich last (Tuesday) night.
The tie must be played by the end of January and good luck to the Newcastle United kids in hopefully showing the senior players what a derby match means.
