Sometimes the night is darkest just before the dawn and despite the negativity I do see a glimmer of hope with a Newcastle team we could shortly be watching.

I understand everybody being totally sick of our sly and manipulative owner, not having a manager, a managing director who seemingly spends most of his time hiding under a table, a captain who does anything but lead and only two wins in the last twelve matches but…

newcastle teamThere could be light at the end of the tunnel as injuries clear up, the players are back from the African Nations and this is the starting eleven we could be watching, even without something bizarre happening such as actually buying some players in this transfer window.

If we can get these eleven players on the pitch together then I am convinced we will once again have something decent to watch:

Tim Krul

Daryl Janmaat

Fabricio Coloccini

Paul Dummett

Davide Santon

Jack Colback

Moussa Sissoko

Ayoze Perez

Rolando Aarons

Siem De Jong

Papiss Cisse

Just going along to the match, enjoying the football and supporting the team. Forgetting about all the off the pitch nonsense and our every day troubles in our normal non-football lives.

I don’t ask for much and don’t expect us to ever win anything, surely watching decent football and winning more than we lose at home is the minimum we all deserve.

i`ll beleive it when i see it  !

  • Paul Patterson

Cisse, Sissoko and Krul are very, very vulnerable to transfer bids and Coloccini has suddenly become a liability from being our only class defender.

  • Mal44

I guess we will all count it as some sort of success if we still have that squad to pick from after the window closes. It would be too much to hope that we actually add a striker and central defender.

Oh dear dear dear – have you learnt nothing over 8 years?

  • toonterrier

Does that mean that Shola will only be on the bench.

  • supermacsnewname

If nothing else happens this wndow, no one in & no one out, how much profit have we made?
    – no Pardew wages plus £3m fee
    – HBA wages saved, plus a few fringe players gone
for a business man that must look like a nice little earner – pass the brandy & cigars fatso

  • geordieladdo

Paul Patterson Easy to look a liability mind when your partners are Williamson and Dummet…
Not to mention the protection in front of you being Cheikh Tiote!!!
we might be being a little unfair – not saying he’s amazing or anything but must be difficult..

  • Paul Patterson

Just think if he subtracts a Sissoko and/or a on top of that . .
New Helicopter? Villa in Spain? Virgin flight to space? Just a thought . .

  • Brownale69

Fantastic all we need next is some tactics and coaching

  • A lex

Paul Patterson Howay man, don’t be stupid!! You think Virgin or NASA build space rockets big enough to carry Fatty to the moon?

Dale your article comment could had been written by thousand of us, Well Done, of corse there will be a number of fans that will turn on you too, after all this is democratic world we live in and not North Korea.
But most comments will be against Ashley, Pardew, and SD, but nothing about the quality of the team, or debates on specific players.
