A major change today with a new favourite for next Newcastle manager (head coach).

When I say new, he has already been favourite at one stage and now has reclaimed that spot.

next newcastle managerYes, after four matches as caretaker boss, the bookies once again make John Carver the favourite to get the Newcastle job.

No doubt Lee Charnley’s ‘uplifting’ interview has helped send John Carver to favourtism, with talk of likely leaving it until the summer.

The prices at BetVictor are now;

1/1 John Carver

2/1 Remi Garde

7/2 Steve McClaren

5/1 Michael Laudrup

16/1 Tim Sherwood

20/1 Peter Beardsley

On these type of bets it is always good to check exactly how they define ‘permanent’ manager and with BetVictor they say the following;

1.1. Next Permanent Manager
Every effort will be made to quote all potential new managers for the market, but should a manager not quoted be appointed, all bets will stand.

Caretaker and interim managers will not count unless they complete at least 10 competitive games or the club indicate the manager will be appointed to cover at least 10 or more games. They will then be deemed the permanent manager and paid as a winner without clients having to wait for 10 or more games to be completed.

New customers to BetVictor qualify for £25 free bet.

    It’s shocking to see Michael Laudrup is on the list. A manager who falls out with players and fails to turn up to training sessions to take personal day trips to France – A big reason why he was sacked at Swansea.

    You have to think why no top club has appointed Michael Laudrup!!

    It’s more likely we end up with Steve Kean (The biggest Yes man in football) look what happen at Blackburn under Kean.
