Yannick Bolasie responds to Newcastle and Liverpool transfer talk
Newcastle United were said to be interested in signing Yannick Bolasie in the summer and the Crystal Palace winger is still said to be on United’s radar according to the media in South London.
Not prolific in terms of scoring goals himself, the DR Congo international has though been Palace’s best player this season and has three assists so far, as well as one goal.
Despite signing a new three year contract in August, both Newcastle and Liverpool are said to be still watching Bolasie and the player was asked about the speculation regarding a January move to one of the two clubs in an interview this weekend.
Speaking to London24 Sport, Bolasie said;
“No I won’t be thinking about the transfer window.
“I will be purely thinking about AFCON (the African Cup of Nations) when January comes around but right now I’m focussing on Palace.
“I don’t really care about being linked with other clubs, my job is to score and make goals for Palace.”
