Spanish eyes admire Newcastle’s Geordie backbone
Sitting with a warm glow watching the Chelsea match in my home in Spain, I realised something that to my knowledge no one else had pointed out.
At the start of the second half we had 5 Geordies on the pitch at a cost of £0 in transfer money.
They are of course:
Steven Taylor (born in London but his parents returned to north east only weeks later)
Who said that the romance in football was dead. Still celebrating, off for a few San Migs and wind up some of the Chelsea supporters that live in the village, not bad for a Geordie boy from Heaton.
Keep up the good work.
