Pardew says Cup hopes rest on battle of ‘Narrow vs Wide’
Ahead of tonight’s Tottenham v Newcastle cup clash, Alan Pardew has claimed that it is a battle of two very different formations and tactics.
The United boss stating that the two managers have alternative approaches, one team playing ‘narrow’ and the other ‘wide’.
However, he said that he would leave it up to the listening journalists to work out which is which.
“It will be a cracking game because the two teams are very different.
“One plays quite narrow, one plays quite wide.
“You’ll have to work that one out yourself – we’ll see which one goes forward.”
Grasp the moment;
“We’ve got ourselves here, you need to grasp it and hopefully this team can.
“We just want to win, keep the momentum and good feeling going with our fans, hopefully get some silverware for this magnificent club.”
Surely though tonight’s match will be more about one team controlling the bulk of possession and the other trying to counter-attack.
Just like Alan Pardew I’ll leave you to work that one out (not that it will take much!) for yourself…
