Pardew ‘We don’t know where Ayoze Perez will end up’

Alan Pardew has once again highlighted the progress of Ayoze Perez, relating that even in defeat the Spanish striker/midfielder had impressed Sir Alex Ferguson.

The Newcastle manager also claimed that Perez had quicker feet than the likes of Carlos Tevez and Teddy Sheringham, striker who he’d worked with before.

However, using an unfortunate choice of words, Pardew then said that if Ayoze Perez continued to develop ‘then we don’t where he’ll end up’.

Which is exactly the worry of most Newcastle fans!

Alan Pardew;

“He (Ayoze Perez) has surprised me at how good he has been, he’s a real talent.

“I’ve been fortunate to work with some really good strikers; Tevez, Sheringham, Dean Ashton, and he has got faster feet than all three of them.”

Sir Alex Ferguson;

“The work ethic he’s put in for the team as well, if he progresses like he is, we don’t know where he’ll end up.

“I was lucky enough to have a quick glass of wine with Sir Alex (Ferguson) and he caught his eye.

“He did win player of the year in the Spanish Second Division last season, so it is not a complete mystery.”

Sadly the transfer window leaves most fans not excited about who Newcastle might bring in but rather what would happen if big bids came in for players such as Perez, Sissoko and Janmaat.
