Pardew confirms injury news – good news on two but eleven missing for Arsenal
In his preparations for Arsenal on Saturday, Alan Pardew has confirmed that there is good news where Fabricio Coloccini and Daryl Janmaat are concerned.
Both players passed fit to play at the Emirates, which is a massive boost with the two being Newcastle’s most talented defenders.
“There is good news as Coloccini, who we had a worry about is fine, and Daryl (Janmaat) is fine.”
It is just as well really because Pardew indicated that otherwise the injury situation is the same as it was for the Chelsea match, which would indicate that the following list of players will be unavailable tomorrow;
Tim Krul, Davide Santon, Ryan Taylor, Siem De Jong, Rolando Aarons, Gabriel Obertan, Rob Elliot, Curtis Good and Mehdi Abeid.
Once you add in suspensions for Moussa Sissoko and Steven Taylor, that makes a full team (if Tim Krul plays out…) of players who are missing as United head deeper into December’s tough and busy schedule.
