Nile Ranger interviewed by police once again

Nile Ranger has been interviewed by police only two weeks after claiming he had sorted himself out and was looking to move on from how he’d acted at Newcastle and beyond.

The former Newcastle player was questioned after police were called, following a row Ranger is reported to have had in the middle of a motorway.

According to the media reports, Nile Ranger was  driving along the M55 near Preston on Friday night when he got into an argument with his girlfriend…who happened to be in a separate car.

A witness claims that Ranger was in a Mercedes in the middle lane and a woman who turned out to be his girlfriend was in the inside lane.

Apparently  they had stopped to argue for a couple of minutes before the cars started moving  again, only to then stop minutes later where the argument resumed.

The witness says that people almost crashed into the back of the cars as they suddenly stopped/slowed down, with some drivers believing it could be an insurance scam of trying to trick people into bumping into the back of them.

Drivers were shouting at them to get onto the hard shoulder and then rang police when the argument continued.

The reports say Nile Ranger told other drivers that he and his girlfriend had split up and were arguing over the return of the keys to the car she was driving.

Nile Ranger later put the following messages on Twitter;

‘Media are bloody desperate lol…itching to mess me up…lol #desperado,’

‘Lol… Next thing I know I’m gonna spill some milk for my cornflakes. And be in the media for that.. ‘NILE SPILLS MILK FOR HIS CORNFLAKES’.

Only two weeks ago Ranger said this in an interview with the Mirror;

“Newcastle was definitely good, it put my name up there.

“They gave me a chance, a big chance, but I messed it up to be honest.”

Young and stupid;

“But everyone makes mistakes in life, I was young and getting a lot of money coming in, doing stupid things.

“Now it is time to focus, I’m not getting any younger, I’m twenty three.”

Nile Ranger didn’t feature in the eighteen players Lee Clark selected on Saturday, as Blackpool recorded only their second Championship win of the season.

While this latest incident isn’t one of the more serious the former Newcastle player has been involved in, surprisingly most of the rest of us manage to drive along the motorway without other drivers having to call the police.
