Newcastle United summer signing in court tomorrow on assault charge
Newcastle United defender Jamaal Lascelles will appear in court in Derby on Wednesday to face assault charges.
Lascelles was bought for a combined fee of around £7m along with goalkeeper Karl Darlow in the summer, the pair then immediately loaned back to Nottingham Forest for the whole of this current season.
Jamaal Lascelles is charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, which allegedly happened at Lola Lo nightclub on Victoria Street in Derby.
The United player is currently on bail with the condition he doesn’t contact Usmaan Hussein.
You can only assume Newcastle United were aware that Jamaal Lascelles faced this charge when he was bought in the summer and were given a satisfactory explanation by the player.
