Newcastle United spin doctor could be a bit busy at Leeds United and Rangers…
As many of you will already know, Keith Bishop acts as Newcastle United’s spin doctor.
The PR man often being seen with Mike Ashley at Newcastle matches home and away, including Saturday’s game at West Ham (see photo – Bishop is to the left of Lee Charnley and Mike Ashley).
Making up a lively trio of clients, Bishop also has Rangers and Leeds United on his books.
As I understand it, Rangers have been a little bit in the news recently and now Leeds United have also reached a new low.
The Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino has been disqualified by the Football League and has been asked to resign from the Championship club.
The League took its decision after obtaining documents from the courts in Italy, which had found Cellino guilty of tax evasion.
The League says Cellino has breached its ‘fit and proper’ ownership test.
The Italian is entitled to return to the club from March 18 next year and also has the option of appealing against the League’s ruling.
Cellino will be able to resume control at Elland Road at that time(March 18) because his conviction will be deemed spent.
