Mike Ashley and Rangers have been handed notices of complaint by the Scottish FA, accused of influencing the management of the Glasgow club.

Ashley, who holds a 9% stake in Rangers as well as owning Newcastle United, has failed to clarify his role with the club to the SFA, after providing secured loans of £3m to keep the club afloat.

In return, Ashley now has Derek Llambias pulling the strings inside Ibrox.

The governing body wrote to Mike Ashley in October seeking clarity over the extent of his involvement at Ibrox, and he’s now been accused of holding undue influence at Rangers.

Ashley has also being charged with failing to behave with ‘the utmost good faith’ towards the Scottish FA and its members.

The date of the hearing is set for Tuesday, January 27.
