Mike Ashley raises price of Newcastle tickets

Mike Ashley has seized the chance and raised the price of Newcastle tickets.

Earlier this season Newcastle proudly boasted that they had the cheapest ticket prices in the country, claiming adults could pay as little as £15 to see their team at St.James’ Park.

However, supporters continue to wonder just how you can get your hands on these golden £15 tickets.

Especially now that Mike Ashley has taken the opportunity to raise the price of Newcastle tickets, no doubt after a healthy sale of half-season tickets following the recent winning run.

The BBC lauded Ashley and Newcastle for having the cheapest tickets in the country but the real prices fans pay week by week can be seen below.

As you can see, the tickets for the Burnley match have seen rises of up to over 16% on comparative matches against the other promoted teams such as QPR and Leicester, plus other clubs in a similar interest bracket.

Those of you who are quick wit your fingers and toes will no doubt have worked out that the £28 minimum price for adults against Burnley is just short of double the £15 fans can allegedly watch Newcastle for.
