Earth calling Alan Pardew ‘Second half for sure we went up a level’
Earth calling Alan Pardew…the Newcastle manager was in truly delusional mood after the final whistle of his fourth derby defeat in a row.
As well as claiming Newcastle played well today, the United boss has stated that his players ‘went up a level’ in the second half.

So the Newcastle manager really thinks that getting outplayed for much of the game by a terrible team like Sunderland, will be enough to give Rooney, Van Persie and the rest a game?
“I thought it was a good game actually, Sunderland played well first half, the second half for sure we went up a level and perhaps should be sitting here as winners.
“We’re still in a decent position in the league and have to regroup.”
Bring on Manchester United;
“We have to take our second half form into Man United.
“Both keepers played well today, you know their keeper had to play very well but I was really pleased for Jak (Alnwick) because they put him under enormous pressure and he stood up to that – well done to him.”
Fair play to Alnwick because he’s been put in an impossible position, in no way was today’s defeat down to him.
One of the few positives on another dismal derby day under Pardew.
