Armstrong and Anita 2 changes in Newcastle line up vs Manchester United.

Cheick Tiote was one definite absentee following his yellow card against Sunderland which triggered a one game suspension.

However, Alan Pardew had also indicated that he would be potentially making other changes to his starting eleven.

The Newcastle boss saying that he was looking for his team to keep possession better, improve their passing and have more of a goal threat.

In the event, the United boss has made one other change that wasn’t forced, with Sammy Ameobi dropped from the eighteen, unless he’s injured. Pardew was annoyed at comments Ameobi made after the derby defeat.

Also a surprise to see Haidara completely absent as well.

Pardew looking to make it two wins in a row at Old Trafford after overcoming David Moyes’ team last December.

Today Alan Pardew has named the following Newcastle line up vs Manchester United;

Alnwick, Janmaat, Coloccini, Steven Taylor, Dummett, Sissoko, Anita, Colback, Gouffran, Armstrong, Perez

On the bench;

Woodman, Williamson, Satka, Cabella, Vuckic, Riviere, Cisse
