Alan Pardew’s record compared to all previous Newcastle managers

In what has already been a bizarre season even by Newcastle standards, Alan Pardew stands only two steps from Wembley as we look forward to the League Cup Quarter-Final tonight.

A Cup quarter-final and league wins over Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea looked a bit unlikely only a couple of months ago.

So where does Alan Pardew stand in comparison to past managers of any kind of long service at St.James’ Park?

Chris Holt has produced the following stats that compare all Newcastle managers with 100 or more matches behind them.

The stats are for all domestic league and cup matches, with three points awarded for all wins, games in the second tier included as well.

The four categories are;

Number of games managed at Newcastle

Percentage of matches won

Percentage of matches lost

Points per game managed
