Alan Pardew two and a half year stats – just how fickle can we be…?

You might have heard that Newcastle United finished fifth once under Mike Ashley and Alan Pardew, not that they like to mention it much…

What about since then though?

You know, those two and a half years worth of Premier League football.

Fourteen other clubs have played 93 Premier League fixtures over the 2012/13, 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons but how do we compare to them?

Thanks to Chris Holt for the excellent stats below and you can visit his blog HERE, plus you can follow him on Twitter @MikeAshleyLies

(The eight categories are W – Games won, L – Games lost, CS – Clean sheets, FTS – Failed to score, F – Goals for, A – Goals against, GD – Goal difference, PT – Points)

Oh dear, as you can see it doesn’t look too good for Mr Pardew, or indeed the rest of us who have had top watch it!

Nobody has lost more Premier League matches in this time and overall there is very little for anybody connected to Newcastle to shout about.

In fact Sunderland end up superior to Newcastle in five of the eight categories.

If you had to sum up what has happened to United over this period you would have to say ‘survival’, nothing more – nothing less.

I don’t know about you but I aspire to more than this and we do deserve better, no matter what the sycophantic press who are under Mike Ashley’s control say.

Pardew and Ashley, a match made in heaven – unless you support Newcastle United.
