Alan Pardew has described the injury situation at Newcastle United as ‘critical’.

The United boss telling the media that he only has nineteen available senior players to take to Burnley on Tuesday.

To make matters even worse, Sky Sports report that of those nineteen who will travel, they include three who are carrying knocks.

That trio being Mike Williamson, Massadio Haidara and Daryl Janmaat, the latter having been forced off at West Ham with a reported hamstring problem.

With that squad of nineteen almost certainly including the likes of Rolando Aarons and Fabricio Coloccini who are just coming back from injury, there are some big calls to make when it comes to the manager picking his team.
