Alan Pardew has won the November manager of the month award.

This follows his nomination last month when Sam Allardyce beat him to the October award.

Coming close to winning a month earlier may have tipped the scales for Pardew, seeing him finish ahead of the other three nominees; Sean Dyche, Jose Mourinho and Manuel Pellegrini.

The winner isn’t always selected on the exact number of points and here are the teams who picked up the most last month, as you will see both Chelsea and Man City picked up one more than Newcastle;

10 Points – Jose Mourinho: Chelsea 2 QPR 1 Liverpool 1 Chelsea 2 Chelsea 2 West Brom 0 Sunderland 0 Chelsea 0

10 Points – Manuel Pellegrini: Man City 1 Man Utd 0 QPR 2 Man City 2 Man City 2 Swansea 1 Southampton 0 Man City 3

9 Points – Alan Pardew: Newcastle 1 Liverpool 0 West Brom 0 Newcastle 2 Newcastle 1 QPR 0 West Ham 1 Newcastle 0

9 Points – Louis Van Gaal: Man City 1 Man Utd 0 Man Utd 1 Palace 0 Arsenal 1 Man Utd 2 Man Utd 3 Hull 0

9 Points – Mauricio Pochettino: Villa 1 Spurs 2 Spurs 1 Stoke 2 Hull 1 Spurs 2 Spurs 2 Everton 1

The panel of judges jumped past the likes of Van Gaal and Pochettino to include Sean Dyche with only 7 points, though in terms of Burnley’s season so far, it has been an astonishing month for Dyche and his team.

7 Points – Sean Dyche: Arsenal 3 Burnley 0 Burnley 1 Hull 0 Stoke 1 Burnley 2 Burnley 1 Villa 0

No doubt Jose Mourinho will feel there has been foul play once again, those ball boys had better watch themselves…

Today’s announcement follows Pardew and his players being awarded Premier League performance of the week yesterday, a panel including Sir Alex Ferguson selecting United’s defeat of Chelsea for the top display of last week.
