Alan Pardew injury concerns on 3 more for Tottenham
The eve of the Tottenham match has seen Alan Pardew reveal that he has injury concerns with three more players.
The Newcastle manager has said that Papiss Cisse and Cheick Tiote are the two new biggest doubts, while Mike Williamson has a ‘slight problem’.
“Papiss has a heavy cold, we will have to see how he is.
“Cheick has a slight strain so they’re the two worries for the game.
“Mike Williamson has a slight problem.”
The choice of words on Williamson is a bit unfortunate considering his poor form this season.
However, the loss of Cisse would be a big blow, despite him having a really poor game at Arsenal he is by far Newcastle’s most likely goalscorer and Ayoze Perez playing off him seems to be a decent partnership in the making.
Cheick Tiote has had his problems on and off the pitch so far this campaign but if he can sort himself out he is a big asset to the team.
If Tiote and/or Cisse miss the Spurs match then the majority of fans will undoubtedly think that if it was a Premier League match then they would have played.
Alan Pardew has claimed that no one game has priority over another but his cup selections so far this season (and every other) tell us otherwise.
