Whoever arrives, if anybody, to replace Alan Pardew at Newcastle United – one thing is certain.

The removal of Mike Ashley’s main man brings opportunities; changes in playing style, chance of player selection going in a different direction and whisper it quietly…even the possibility of a plan at corners.

I’m sure you will be able to come up with a few of your own but below I’ve listed ten intriguing possibilities now Pardew has left the building.

Will Yoan Gouffran still get a game?

Does Pardew’s departure mean Hatem Ben Afra will be back training and potentially playing?

Will Newcastle now try to score from corners?

Is it now John Carver or Steve Stone’s job to say how brilliant Mike Ashley is?

Has Mike Williamson finally played his last match for United?

Will a team now be picked to try and get into the fourth round of the FA Cup?

Is it possible Managing Director Lee Charnley will be forced to come out of hiding and speak, now that ‘cover all’ Pardew has left?

Will we have a nominated player to take free-kicks/corners or will it continue to be whoever is nearest the ball?

Could it now be possible that more than one Newcastle player is allowed in the opposition’s box at any one time?

Could you imagine John Carver ever calling anybody else ‘United’…..as Alan Pardew did yet again when talking about the team from Manchester.
