Three clubs are battling to secure a Newcastle player on loan before 5pm on Thursday.

Tomorrow is the final day for loan players to move to Football League clubs and there of them are keen on Remie Streete.

The Newcastle central defender has already impressed at Port Vale, only to be recalled early by United as the likes of Steven Taylor and Fabricio Coloccini were added to the injury list.

Port Vale are one of the three clubs interested in taking the twenty year old defender once again, with Sheffield Wednesday and Blackpool also reported to be keen.

Much will depend on how Taylor and Coloccini are coming along in their recovery.

Alan Pardew said after the win against QPR that he was expecting to have a lot of competition for places at West Ham on Saturday, due to players coming back from injury.

Match time is crucial for Remie Streete at this stage in his career so let’s hope that whatever happens there is no knock-on negative impact on him.
