Rising United star grabs hat-trick from the bench as Newcastle kids hit 7

The Newcastle kids hit seven as they advanced into the semi-finals of the Northumberland Senior Cup.

The United reserve team comfortably took apart Northern League side Team Northumbria in front of a small crowd at Whitley Park.

Those who bothered to turn up enjoyed some decent football on a fresh Tuesday night.

Star of the show was Sean Longstaff, turning seventeen a few weeks ago, the Geordie midfielder has been starring for the NUFC Under 18s.

Called into action from the bench after only twenty minutes, Longstaff scoring his first only a few minutes after stepping onto the pitch, two more goals followed to round off a memorable night for the United youngster.

Alex Gilliead had given Newcastle the lead and Greg Olley scored a second, before Sean Longstaff entered the fray and took the honours.
