Newcastle striker Adam Armstrong may not have scored yet for the United first team but there is no stopping him for England.

The 17 year old Geordie forward has now got 16 goals in his last 21 England appearances and goes from strength to strength.

Armstrong’s latest goal was another quality finish and proved the winner for England Under 18s away in Poland.

Trailing one down at the break, Armstrong and Newcastle teammate Freddie Woodman helped turn the match around for their country.

Everton’s Callum Connolly and Arsenal’s Ainsley Maitland-Niles put England 2-1 up and Adam Armstrong looked to have made things comfortable, when with twenty minutes to go he took one touch before powering an unstoppable drive beyond the Polish keeper to put the visitors two goals ahead.

However, five minutes later Poland made it 3-2 and it took a great late save from United’s Freddie Woodman to secure England’s and the Newcastle’s pair’s latest victory.
