Moussa Sissoko – A Captain’s Tale
Moussa Sissoko has reflected on a job well done, Captain for the day and the winner against QPR – life is good for the French international.
Having looked to be lacking direction in the opening games, Sissoko has been the leading light in the remarkable change in fortunes for United.
One surging in the second half, which Ayoze Perez should have finished off, summed up his recent displays since having a central role and other players helping to create the space for the midfielder to impose himself.
Speaking to the Shields Gazette, Sissoko talked about his Captain’s role;
“The manager told me just before the game I would be captain and I was very happy.
“I try to give my experience to the young players, everybody can help everyone, it is a good moment for us.
“The game was hard but every game in England is hard, at the moment the team’s playing very well and trying to win every game.”
Fantastic for the City;
“It is fantastic for the team, for the city and for everyone.
“We work very hard every day and that is why we’re playing well at the moment but the season’s long, it is not finished.”
Moussa Sissoko’s contribution was shown in our poll of fans for man of the match, the [intlink id=”50822″ type=”post”]Captain winning a massive proportion of the votes[/intlink].
