Midfielder questioned on whether he and Cheick Tiote can play together
Out of what looked a potentially disastrous season, Newcastle somehow have put a run of five wins together and now Cheick Tiote may belatedly rejoin the party after his injury.
A week on Saturday United face Queens Park Rangers and hopefully Alan Pardew will be facing some interesting choices.
The obvious answer would appear to be Mehdi Abeid, if Pardew brought back the Ivory Coast international.
However, could the two of them play together?
When asked, Mehdi Abeid said;
“Hopefully we can play together, we will see what will be in the next game (QPR).”
“I have come back here to play and show the manager and club I can play for them, I am really happy.
“I have to concentrate and to work hard every day, then I will get a chance. I had my chance last week, I try to do my best and it is working, I’m very pleased with that.”
Going on loan;
“I knew that I had I had to play football so that is what I went and did, play football and enjoy my time.
“I got a lot of experience and I learned a lot, I have come back with a strong mentality and character.
“We have to keep showing that we are a good team, Sunday was a great win.”
