Independent Newcastle United Player Ratings So Far

Eleven Premier League matches into the season – the Newcastle United player ratings.

Twenty two players used so far, from those who have played every match, to those who have made brief appearances from the bench such as Ryan Taylor.

No analysis is 100% accurate, whether it is with the human eye or calculated automatically.

However, the industry leaders in providing statistical analysis to the football industry is, who are fed data generated automatically from every incident on the pitch, every match in the Premier League.

Using their ratings for every player in every match, this is how the Newcastle United squad have fared so far, with their average ratings out of ten.

7.51 Mehdi Abeid

7.17 Paul Dummett

7.16 Daryl Janmaat

7.01 Cheick Tiote

7.01 Papiss Cisse

6.94 Gabriel Obertan

6.93 Steven Taylor

6.87 Remy Cabella

6.84 Massadio Haidara

6.82 Fabricio Coloccini

6.79 Sammy Ameobi

6.78 Jack Colback

6.76 Rolando Aarons

6.75 Yoan Gouffran

6.65 Mike Williamson

6.64 Moussa Sissoko

6.59 Ayoze Perez

6.47 Tim Krul

6.41 Siem De Jong

6.36 Vurnon Anita

6.24 Emmanuel Riviere

6.17 Ryan Taylor

I think the top seven are all up there on merit, while the likes of Vurnon Anita and Emmanuel Riviere are also where they deserve to be on what they’ve shown so far.

However, I think the two who stand out as glitches in the Whoscored system are Moussa Sissoko and Ayoze Perez, both surely should be amongst the better performers this season.
