Harry Redknapp claims that Alan Pardew has done a great job at St.James’ Park and that Mike Ashley ‘never looked like buckling under pressure’.

Redknapp has also described Newcastle United as one of the greatest clubs in English football.

The Queens Park Rangers boss talking of fifty thousand Geordies turning up to every home match.

Harry Redknapp speaking at his pre-Newcastle press conference;

“Alan (Pardew) was coming under all kinds of grief and he has done a great job at Newcastle in my opinion.”

“Newcastle’s a great club, one of the greatest clubs in English football, fifty thousand Geordies every week with their black and white striped shirts on.

“They love their club and think he (Alan Pardew) is doing a great job, full credit to the Chairman (Mike Ashley) who never looked like buckling under pressure.”

So, our favourite cockney turning on the charm before Saturday’s match, praising fans, manager and owner.

A massive match, just like West Brom last timeout, these are the kind of matches that will dictate where United are, come the end of the season.
