Cut price Manchester United tickets go on sale

6 years ago

Newcastle United have knocked £10 off the price of tickets for Manchester United tickets on Boxing Day at Old Trafford.

This is being paid for by the Away Fans Fund money allocated to each Premier League club.

The Away Fans Fund initiative was introduced by the Premier League at the start of the 2013/14 season to try and arrest declining visiting supporter attendances.

Out of the increased TV revenue going into the Premier League central funds, £200,000 was allocated to each club per season for 3 years (total of £600,000), earmarked to be spent as each club sees fit on making away travel more attractive/affordable.

Revised ticket prices will now be;

£35, £36 and £45 for adults

£25.75, £26.50, £33.25 for those aged 18-20

£16.50, £17 and £18 for 16-17s/over 65s

£8 for all under 16s.

Tickets will be sold in a block order as dictated by Manchester United.

Tickets go on sale to season ticket holders with 50+ loyalty points on Friday 7th November and season ticket holders with 25+ loyalty points from Monday 10th November.

Season ticket holders with zero loyalty points can purchase remaining tickets from Thursday 13th November, before a Members sale period begins on Wednesday 19th November, subject to availability.

Tickets can be purchased via or by calling 0844 372 1892, or by visiting in person at the St.James’ Park Box Office on the first floor of the club shop.
