Big Newcastle 3 missing from starting 11 v West Brom

More problems for Newcastle United as Steven Taylor, Rolando Aarons and Papiss Cisse are missing from starting 11 v West Brom.

Taylor and Aarons completely out through injury, while Papiss Cisse is only able to make the bench as Newcastle ‘monitor’ his knee problem.

Alan Pardew has resisted the temptation to bring back Mike Williamson and Dummett will repeat his centre-back role that served well against Manchester City.

Even though Williamson is on the bench, he may not have been in a position to start anyway, after being out with an unconfirmed injury for some weeks.

While Dummett did well against Man City, this does yet again highlight how paper thin the squad is.

A big challenge for Cabella to come back in and with Perez and Ameobi provide the focus of the attacking intent.

Other question marks surround the whereabouts of Emmanuel Riviere, having come on as a sub he didn’t feature in the eighteen against Liverpool and it is the same today. With no apparent hint of an injury.

United line up;

Newcastle United: Krul, Janmaat, Coloccini, Dummett, Haidara, Sissoko, Abeid, Colback, Cabella, Perez, Ameobi

While on the bench;

Subs: Elliot, Williamson, Anita, Ryan Taylor, Gouffran, Armstrong, Cisse
