Another Newcastle striker goes out on loan

Following Tom Heardman’s loan move to Gateshead, another striker in the shape of Adam Campbell has gone out on loan to a local club.

In this case Campbell has shifted down the coast to Hartlepool for an initial four week period.

The Geordie forward has been handed the number 29 shirt and is expected to go straight into the squad to face York at home on Saturday.

After spending a successful period in League One, the wheels have really fallen off at Hartlepool and they find themselves rock bottom of all 92 clubs in the top four divisions.

Hopefully Adam Campbell can do both himself and his loan club a big favour, starting on Saturday. York are currently fourth bottom and a win for Pools would see them go level on points with them.

The North Shields born striker has had a pretty dismal time out on loan at the likes of Fleetwood, St.Mirren and Carlisle, hopefully Hartlepool will be a club where he can make a real go of it.

Turning twenty in the new year, it is hard to see Adam Campbell getting another contract when his current one runs out at Newcastle in June.

Fingers crossed he can now get his career kick started once again, wherever he eventually ends up.
