Alan Pardew ‘We just keep nicking a goal’
Alan Pardew has pointed to two main factors in Newcastle United’s recent run of wins.
The Newcastle manager talking about the discipline of the whole team in defending Tim Krul’s goal, whilst also having the knack of ‘…keep nicking a goal’.
The United boss thinks it was Sammy Ameobi’s best ever game for Newcastle, something backed up by the independent player ratings we published, with Ayoze Perez also coming in for extra praise.
“The discipline of the team, the defending, not giving up space – they didn’t get any time QPR. They came with a great attitude and a team that are playing well.
“We really played some terrific stuff.
Sammy and Ayoze;
“Sammy (Ameobi) had his best game for us on the flank, Ayoze (Perez) was a threat all day – you can’t take your eyes off him.
“He excites you and excites the crowd, that’s what (at) Newcastle is traditional.
Nicking a goal;
“But the discipline of the back four, the goalkeeper, the midfield and the two strikers to defend, is getting us where we want to be.
“We just keep nicking a goal, then we might nick a second, then the game is over.
