West Ham are not impressed with the latest Andy Carroll To Newcastle ‘exclusive’ that appeared at the weekend.
The Hammers not happy with claims by the Chronicle (this time) that they were going to ‘offer’ the centre forward to Newcastle in January.
‘West Ham ready to offer Newcastle another chance to sign Andy Carroll in January.
His injury problems seem to have sparked fears at the East London outfit that they need to plan for life without him.
The club (West Ham) believe that Newcastle would consider Carroll in January as they ponder options for the future.’
In response West Ham are said to be outraged about the Carroll claims and have bit back with a cutting remark of their own.
Well connected journalist Hugh Southon who has covered West Ham for many years, saying that he’d spoken to somebody high up in the East London club who’d responded with;
“Only Newcastle know if they will bid. Do they even know who their manager will be in January!
“This club doesn’t offer its players to anybody.
“The whole thing is crazy – are people expected to believe that our owners are the type of guys who try to give players away for next to nothing?
“Do they really believe that after spending four years clearing debt they will offer to take a £12 million loss in one hit, madness.”
