A Sunderland fan has been arrested after taunting Newcastle fans about the MH17 plan tragedy, which claimed the lives of United supporters John Alder and Liam Sweeney and so many other innocent people.

The nineteen year old ‘man’ was arrested by Northumbria Police on suspicion of making a malicious communication, he has been bailed whilst enquiries are ongoing.

sunderland fanIt never ceases to amaze you just what depths some will sink to and the arrested fan posted the following on Twitter after predictable mockery from Newcastle fans on social media following Southampton’s 8-0 demolition of Sunderland.

“We might be getting beat 8-0 but at least our fans never got butchered in Ukraine.”

In addition, a tweet showing cartoon images of planes and explosions was also posted via Twitter.

Obviously just one person doesn’t undermine the positives that came out of the joint charity fundraising by black & whites and red & whites after the tragedy.

Another Sunderland fan was quick to state on Twitter;

“You do not represent SAFC at all. Shame on you on such comments. Despite the rivalry, mutual respect is given.”
