Roy Keane Sends His Love To Newcastle Fans

In Roy Keane’s latest book he goes out of his way to send a special message of love to Newcastle United and the fans.

The book is not officially launched until this Thursday but copies were ‘accidentally’ put out on the shelves of a Tesco’s in the Manchester area and so a lot of coverage has been given today with quotes circulating, after eager journalists got hold of them.

When somebody like Roy Keane wants to have a role such as the Villa assistant manager, you do have to wonder why he is putting out quotes like these below.

Obviously he has included these type of more sensational quotes to try and flog the dross that will fill the rest of it but just how desperate is he to make a few quid?

Roy Keane on Newcastle United and the supporters;

“I always thought that they were an arrogant bunch, for a club that had won f*** all”

Amongst the other examples of Keane’s charm, is this classic when he was at Sunderland.

The mackems  got beat by League One side Luton 3-0 in the League Cup and on the same night their left-back Clive Clarke, who was on loan at Leicester, had a heart attack during their match with Nottingham Forest.

Keane admitting his instant thought was an ‘evil’ one, that the heart attack would distract from Sunderland’s defeat.

“I had the evil thought: ‘I’m glad he had it tonight’ because it would deflect our woeful performance.”
