Peter Beardsley ‘Great Owner and Great Manager – What’s The Panic?’
Peter Beardsley is never slow to come to the defence of the man who pays his wages and the former United great has delivered yet again.
In a spirited defence of Mike Ashley and Alan Pardew, Beardsley has claimed he doesn’t understand the panic because they’ve both done great jobs.
A potentially crucial match against Leicester on Saturday and Peter Beardsley says that the fans should just let Alan Pardew get on with it, despite only five Premier League wins since Boxing Day 2013.
Peter Beardsley quoted in the Chronicle;
“We have a great owner and a great manager, so I don’t know what the panic is.
“I understand it, I get that, but when I look at the job the manager has done, he has done a great job and I think we should just let him get on with it.”
No worries, just one win and out of bottom three;
“At the end of the day we are one win away from getting out of the bottom three.
“I understand what people are like but they shouldn’t worry.”
Funnily enough, Sir John Hall came out with a similar defence of what is going on at Newcastle United and insisted that the fans should put tehir concerns to one side and just back the team.
He also claimed that one win would see United out of the bottom three but the harsh reality is that if Everton get a draw or better this weekend then Newcastle will be stuck in the bottom three, as we are already four points adrift of the current fifth bottom club Stoke, who are on eight points.
